Break the Fall

Hi,

Today was busy day. Had two test that was so so alright. It shows that I'll be alright went the final exam comes. Anyway, today i had to do my payment for next year and got some extra scholarship, not for academic, is just the school was giving out scholarship to everyone. So i receive quite a fair bit. =)

After that, i came back the room and just doze off. i use a lot of my brain today cause i have two test today. Really really tired.

I'm been thinking of home so much that i want to go back. Just for the break. Miss the food, miss the places to go, miss the church activities that i do, miss hanging out and food.

Hmm...have to really come out with a food list already. But what is the first thing i really miss....

Anyway, i got to sleep, it is quite late and have to continue to study till all exams are over, so till then nighty night.

Insane in the Mainframe

Yo,

Today was slow. Wake up late and did things late too. Lazy around. Watch NBA playoffs. I say that this years playoffs is the most interesting and heart pumping than the other years. Anyway, been studying too and sleeping.

Later in the day when to Church. It was great, they had a all worship Sunday. It was really good. They got their full choir, many solos, and not much preaching. It was all worship. Good stuff.

Got back, did my laundry and watch some TV series, watch GG, futurama, simpsons, family guy, american dad, and south park. hehe. GG is getting so really crazy. Just makes me want to know what the next episode is going to be...

Anyway, going to play my Nintendo DSi and then snooze off to dreamland, so till then nighty night.

David Edwards speaks at Friday convocation

April 24, 2009 : Dominique McKay

Students will be leaving Liberty University’s campus in just a couple weeks for summer break, and at Friday’s convocation David Edwards, author and speaker, gave them a message of encouragement in dealing with the transition and change that they are likely to endure.

Edwards travels around the country speaking to young adults about issues relevant to this generation. He has been a featured speaker for City Wide Weekly Bible Study Groups in Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia and Florida. He is the author of 14 books and has written a tract called, “How to Make Life All Good.”

Using the account of Moses’ life in Exodus 4, Edwards told students there are four major points to remember during a time of transition. The first was to handle the power God gives them with care. He said Christians must take responsibility for the role God has given them.

“At the moment we open our lives to Christ … we gave up our rights ... we no longer have rights; we have responsibilities,” Edwards said.

He then told students they must keep their hearts clean, and they must be careful of what the world encourages them to do. He said they must keep a close watch over what they allow to enter into their hearts.

“Whatever lives in us will leak out of us,” he said. “Whatever lives in us will find its way into the choices we make.”

Lastly he said Christians must honor God’s personal counsel. He said they must be willing to submit to God the direction of their lives and to remain teachable.

“Are you willing to submit success in your life to the Lord and say ‘God you own it, and I don’t?’” he said.

PET, People's Choice!!!

Hi,

Today is good, just finish up one class and now 3 classes left for me till final exam. I'm going to miss all the people that i made friends with. 3 months of summer break is really long and well if you waste your day is short. Anyway, I'm still pushing on, things are getting really tough. Work load, assignments due, workout, free time all have to be perfectly balance and it is hard doing that. I thank God that He has in built me with a internal time management device in me. hehe So some how I'm doing good in all my classes and i can really see the GPA going up and up till rings.

Anyway, i talk to my adviser about the honor program and it has to be taken next year spring. So i still have time to prepare for it. Also, i ask about whether i can play squash for the school, they say they will look into it but it has to start inside the school level which means play with LU students first till it grows into an interest then only it can be a school sport. Hopefully something can be done. =)

Besides all that, should i go home? still in this dilemma and things are leaning towards home. Because is hard getting a job here and is best not to waste money here too. still trying hard to get the job, been going to the human resources center and complaining to them till then know me personally. Not going to give up till they give me every job on campus, hehe.

So do pray for me. =)

Oh been drinking a lot of PET milk here (uncle Rodney, PET also produce drinkable products too beside their usual product for cooking) PET is quite alright is unlike the dutch lady milk. Drinking the chocolate PET is tasty compare to their normal PET milk.

Anyway, i got to sleep, been working out to much till I'm tired. So till then nighty night.

Lovely,
