Today you are getting expose a little to my church issue.
I do love my church with all my heart. I want to my church grow not in numbers only but rooted in the relationship with God.
In all my years attending church, this is my first encounter of church people not bring their Bibles at all.
(i'm also guilty of this too).
There is nothing wrong with not bring your Bible to church. There is no evidence in the Bible tell people to bring the Bible to church. BUT....
In the Bible, it teaches people to memorizes scripture. Keeping God's Word close to your heart, soul, and mind.

If you memorizes scripture and don't bring your Bible then i understand.
But all in all, do you think is good to bring your Bible to church?
I do really think that people should keep their Bible close to you like clothing.
The reason is...
1. If you receive something from God and is scripture related. You can look it up and write something on it.
2. It is a clear indicator to the Pastor that you are following him/her in his/her sermon. (It will encourage the Pastor to prepare more deeper messages from God).
3. To new comes to the church, they will see that the church has great respect and love of God. Imagine with me, you did not bring your Bible; however, you have your phone Bible. I'm not against phone Bible. (What message does it send to the new comer?) The new comer may think that the church people do not care what is preach on the pulpit and the Word of God is just bunch of nonsense.
4. Phone Bibles is a bigger distraction than someone sleeping in church.
Come on people of God.
Where is the respect and the love for God.
Me seeing people in church not bring their Bible. Really insane.
This tells me a lot about your devotion with God.
It tells that you spend very little time talking to God, God is not clearly major center of your life, and you tend to blame God for things not going your way. Correct me if i'm wrong.
The pastor preaching in church and seeing his or her congregation is not engage to the sermon. Do you think he or she would want to prepare a great sermon?
The Bible is really important to a lover of Christ. It should not be left around collecting dust on your bookshelf or somewhere. The Bible was put together so that people would get to know God in a personal level.
Come on people who love God. You can do better. Make it a habit to bring your Bible everywhere. Learn to read it. The Word of God is something that God created for you and me to know Him.
This issue really hurts me a lot now.
The Bible must have for whoever love Christ.
Church please. Do not let the evil one tempt you on this. The Bible is our only weapon against satan and his gang.
This is just my thoughts and what i saw in my church.
