MIKE HUCKABEE SPEAKS ON IMITATING JESUS

Following the crowd’s enthusiastic applause for Stephen Baldwin, Mike Huckabee said he might be president now if only he had Baldwin’s popularity.

“It is so refreshing to hear a testimony from somebody like Stephen,” Huckabee said, because although [Baldwin] has played many roles in his acting career, the role that matters to him most is being like Jesus.

Sometimes our feelings of inferiority tell us that we don’t look good enough, or that we aren’t smart enough or able enough, said Huckabee, and so we want to be someone else. But God has given us all unique “spiritual DNA,” as well as physical DNA, he said, and trying to be someone else defies both.

The one person we can imitate, he said, is Jesus — in service, in sacrifice, selflessness and substance — Being like Jesus means we are encouragers, selfless, and living in humility. Huckabee cited Philippians 2:5-8 in which Jesus — fully God and fully man — humbled himself and became obedient even to the point of death.

Huckabee said the greatest quality of leaders is that they never ask anybody to do anything that they wouldn’t do themselves. They are willing to do the little things. “Be willing to do the little things,” he said, “and God will lift you up to do the bigger things. But if you are unwilling to do the little things, you’ll never know the bigger things. Instead of saying, ‘I’m in charge,’ we should be saying, ‘I’m here to serve you.’”

Huckabee took the occasion to introduce a new ministry he and Baldwin work with — Christian Values Network, a Christian-based shopping network that partners with hundreds of retailers like Adidas, Best Buy and Lands’ End who donate 3-7 percent of the purchase price to the ministry of the consumer’s choice.

Huckabee is the host of Fox News Channel’s “Huckabee.”

A Shirt to Disguise

Hey,

In this crazy day, it is also a good day. Monday is always tiring. So tired that sleep is so tempting. Anyway, is usual stuff with classes except for my last classes of today Evangelism. This class is always very good, teaches me how to evangelize. Is amazing stuff what the teachers teach here. It just make me want to preach this stuff in church. The technique in doing it is so simple. The teacher showed many videos on this person, how he evangelize to people and the people after about 5 minutes of talking just come to their senses and believe in Jesus. Amazing stuff. If i show you the video, you will definitely be amaze.

Okay, after the whole day of school, i was so bushed. i came back and had a good shower, check some email and watch GG(GG is getting really crazy and getting a suckingly addictive) and finally, a long nap.

Now I'm doing some studying and homework of course. Going to sleep soon again, tomorrow is a big day. Till then nighty night. God bless.

Flower pot,
God loves you.

Sin is in the way with God.
And
it is the thing that separated us from God.

You can try so many ways but it won't reach Him.

Unless you

Believe in Jesus Christ.

God send down His son(Jesus Christ) to die for all man kind sins from the past, present and future.
Jesus Christ did it all in the cross.
Paid by His blood.

He now made us pure before God.
Righteous.
and also now
Sanctified.

If you believe in Him, you become a new person in Christ and you walk no more in the flesh.

So believe me. is true. do it.

Peanut in the Spread

Hi,

Today was good too. Went to church and a actor came to speak to us. Yes, a real actor from Hollywood. He is Stephen Baldwin. He acted in the Flintstones the movie. He told us how he became a Christian and now doing a ministry. Later another pastor came up tell us the word. The pastor took the passage from Luke 15 on the prodigal son or lost son.

The pastor took a different approach he took it from the older son point of view. Will explain in the next post.

I finish of some homework today. Got to go out with friends. Went play basketball. Now going to sleep and get ready for tomorrow class. Till then nighty night, God bless. =)

oh i brought a PET milk and it taste weird, it taste so different from the milk i drink in Malaysia. Funny. (Jay, you would know, hehe). I wonder what they put in the milk.

Peanut Butter,
This chapter in the bible would apply very well with young people or all Christians but mostly for youth to young adults.

1 Timothy 4

Instructions to Timothy
1The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

6If you point these things out to the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, brought up in the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed. 7Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. 8For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

9This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance 10(and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe.

11Command and teach these things. 12Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. 13Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. 14Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you.

15Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. 16Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

i think Timothy was a young fella like us, youth or young adults or. He is learning and he one of Paul's closes disciples. And Paul is instructing him. So i think this portion of scripture really applies to us, young people.

So keep this scripture close to your heart and the best thing to do to follow Jesus Christ is to

Obey.

Do that.

Speed of Quickness...

Hello,

Saturday, the day of rest and relaxation. Got back from Coffeehouse that the school organize, it was from 1130pm to 2am. So i was really tired cause i was awake since 7am to 2am. Long day, there was no nap in between. Man, I'm tired. I thank God that he gave me rest today. Such peace.

I didn't do much today. Just doing revision and studying and doing homework. Watching so shows now on TV, mostly watching ESPN. =) Because is basketball season from NBA to state basketball to college basketball to even high school basketball. So many basketball game. And there is so many ESPN channels, there is 4-6 ESPN here. crazy. And all of there shows basketball. i miss watching football(not going to say soccer) or tennis or pool or snooker or badminton or golf or any other sport. hehe. Not that i don't like watching basketball, is just a overload of basketball.

Going out now to watch a movie with my friends. So till then nighty night. God bless =)

Quicky,

Geronimo Aguilar, pastor of the Richmond Outreach Center (ROC), one of the fastest-growing churches in the United States, spoke at Liberty University’s Friday convocation.

His church is known for offering an alternative style of worship, with hip-hop and rock tunes, and a goal to minister to the inner city and poor communities. “The 700 Club” has featured it as a “Church of the Week,” referring to it as “a church where soccer moms sit beside biker chicks and businessmen hang out with body pierced teens.”

Melany Pearl, director of Liberty’s Center for Multicultural Enrichment (Center4ME), poses with Aguilar. The Center hosted a reception for him following convocation.

Aguilar, known as “Pastor G,” has seen the hardships of the inner city firsthand.

He grew up in a broken home in Los Angeles, Calif. His father left when he was 3, and Aguilar was orphaned after witnessing the murder of his mother at age 8. Aguilar said by the time he was 15 years old, he had dropped out of high school, joined a local gang and began selling drugs.

“No matter how much money I gained, no matter how much I partied, no matter how much I hurt people, I couldn’t hide the fact that I was missing something in my life,” Aguilar said. “So to try to fill that void that I had, I started using drugs.”

By the age of 17, Aguilar said he had become a drug addict.

“No matter how many drugs I took, I could never satisfy myself because nothing will satisfy you 100 percent in this life but Jesus Christ. But I didn’t know that,” he said.

As a 17-year-old drug addict, Aguilar said he had never heard the Gospel, and he began contemplating suicide. He was walking down the street one day when he spotted a church and decided to walk in. He was greeted at the door and soon found himself face-to-face with the pastor of that church.

“He had long hair and tattoos all over his arms,” Aguilar said. “I’m looking at this guy and I’m like, man — this guy is just like me; he can’t be a pastor.”

The pastor sat down with Aguilar and shared his testimony of how he had also come from a broken home, dealt drugs and was in and out of jail for most of his life. Prison is where he first heard the Gospel. After hearing his testimony, Aguilar said he knew he wanted the faith this pastor described.

“I accepted Christ as my savior, right there, at 17 years old — the first time anyone ever shared the Gospel with me,” Aguilar said.

He soon found out the power of God when he discovered that the pastor who had just shared his testimony with him was the father who had abandoned him when he was 3.

“I know the world is a small place, but it isn’t that small. Only God can do something like that,” Aguilar said.

Aguilar closed by encouraging students to restore their broken relationships and get right with Christ.

“Find your fulfillment and your satisfaction in the Lord Jesus Christ,” he said.

this was from my school convocation, few weeks back and it is good stuff.

So enjoy it

My Time to be Me.

Hi,

Looks like it's my birthday today on 27 March. Hmm...i turn 20 but i feel 18. So what has change in me. Start of with studies, doing good, body, getting more build and fast and also eating more, character, pretty much the same.

Today in classes is hard work. first my kines class the teacher make us did crazy stuff. Second i have a English quiz and Math test. Great party huh?

Today was planned by my friends here. All guys and well being guys, we hard took any pictures and i mean zero. They took me to play basketball for a while then went to Burger King here which is slightly better then McDonald's(over here in Lynchburg, need to try other places first to make a final decision but i still love McD). Then went to school big event coffee house which is a big thing. This is where the school does a lot of stuff that is short movies, a lot of music and whole lot of fun.

It was cool. Didn't have pictures but next time will take picture. So now i'm pretty tired and ready to sleep. So nighty night.

Birthday to me,
The human body is one amazing machine created by God Himself.
All of us are amazingly design by God.
And are given great ability from intelligent to athlete.

the Body of Christ is made up of us,
Christians.
And everyone of us are one part of the body and has a function.
And the Body of Christ has unity among His people.
Bodies don't do another thing to another thing. It does one thing together.

And this body is always growing bigger, stronger, better, smarter, and spiritual.

Do your part and listen to God,
Obey.
Obey that is the main foundation.

Complex Tissue...

Hey,

Woah!! today was good as usual. People are so excited that school is finishing soon. Like 6 weeks more till summer. YEA!!! is good that is coming, everyone need a break, a long break. To get back the hours of sleep and shape(i think).

So today i have to make appointments with my international adviser and class registrar adviser. So much hassle. Not like Malaysia where you can do walk-ins.

Also, preparing myself for exams. A lot of things to prepare. Thank God that I'm doing pretty well. All smiles. =) Never the less, must keep on studying. Went i do well, likely get scholarships, so pray for me. =)

Went to gym again, and did a good workout. Can feel the 'cut-shapes' on my body. Lovely. Anyway, i got to study and then sleep, so till then nighty night. Oh tomorrow is my birthday or in Malaysia time is already my birthday. Well, Happy Birthday JPTYY. =)

Feelings,
Planing is important but plan it together with God and God's will in mind.
I got this off my convocation service on Wednesday. The speaker is Johnnie Moore.

II Thessalonians 3:11-12, Moore said students need to get their priorities straight and focus on God’s call on their lives.

“You are preparing for your future right now. The decisions you make affect it,” he said.
Moore said Christians must keep a careful watch over their minds and focus on keeping the integrity of their own hearts.

“Everything begins and ends with your relationship with God,” he said.

He also said Christians must keep in mind the integrity of their hearts when it comes to their relationships, citing Romans 12:18, which says, “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

In addition to integrity, Moore said it is important to work hard, because that is the will of God written in I Thessalonians 4:11-12: “Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.”

Moore closed by encouraging students to not grow weary, saying God will give them everything they need to finish the race.

“It may not mean that you’ll be in first place at the end of these six weeks, but it’s about finishing; it’s about not giving up; it’s about not losing your dignity on the way.”

Connection Between Two Faces.

Hi,

Things are going pretty smooth with me from classes to planing of next semester. Man is a total workout. physical and spiritual. Today convocation was good too enjoyed the worship to the word. Somehow they know how to flow service very well. Love it.

Today classes were fast and light. Is just now preparing for test and quizzes. So much to do and to do around here but nothing to hard to handle. If i do well academically and get a good GPA, i will stand a chance to be on the Dean's list which means scholarships. YEA!!!

So continue on praying for me as I'm also praying for you too. Going to sleep now, so till then nighty night.

Meet,
What colors are you giving out?
It is so interesting that you can do so many things with colors.
and
colors can mean so many things

Let's take colors as life.
Some of the things are already pre-plan like education and job.
These are two important things to everyone's life. With the right mix of education, you get a good job and earn enough.

But that is just a small part in life.
Life is not just working and education.
So fun comes in. Either through friends, family, love ones, things, etc.

That too is also a small part in life.

It is not truly your purpose in Life.
So what is your purpose in Life?

That you have to discover by yourself and help from family and friends and most importantly from God.

There is more than just fun, education, and job.
God has send us to do His will through our lives, Christians.
Having God in your life brings more meaning than anything in world tries to offer's you.

Believe me, been through there.
The world will lead you to emptiness in your heart which makes you will senses no purpose in life.

Trust me, Believing in Jesus Christ as your truly and only Savior
and
the only one that brings Salvation to you

Brings you more meaning into your life.
Jesus Christ send by God,
born as a baby, became the only man that didn't sin at all

Was chosen to die for your sins which all of us past, present, future.
So that we will receive grace and mercy from God.

It is because God loves us so much that He sacrifice His son to die for your sins, so that we are allow to be in heaven.
If we believe in Jesus Christ as the true Savior.

The colors that fills your whole picture can only be done by God
you only can fill in so much that it doesn't even cover the whole picture.

God can only do that.

So chose Him now
pray
repent
you be forgiven.

Wishing to Much Out of the Pocket.

Hello,

Things here are been great. Classes, people, and all. Classes today have been super busy because it is a Monday. I'm super fine here. Oh i keep forgetting that i should take pictures of spring here. Is beautiful and cold. Yeap, is still cold here even though the weather is getting hotter each day. And everyone here is loving the heat and finally able to wear just shirt and pants to school now.

Today at convocation(campus church), was alright. The sermon was inside-ful. The sermon was about Abraham sacrificing Isaac as a prefect offering but was stop by God. The sermon title was 'Is God enough'. The speaker told a dramatic story and well, yes it was heart deep-ing. It was very soul searching.

Classes are getting hacktic cause many people are graduting this semester and some continuing on and have to get ready for next semester coming up, Fall. Can't wait for Fall, let's skip Summer and up right in Fall. love it.

Anyway, got stuff to do and going to sleep also. So till then nighty night.

Ping,
Did you know that we tend to carry unnessary baggage in our life.
Because we worry that we won't survive in this world.
So we carry access baggage which we some-what don't need.

Jesus wants us to give Him this baggage.
Why are you burdening yourself with this baggage.

It hurts your back and suffer. This is what Jesus Christ doesn't want.
Worry.

God has taken care of the plans in your life.
Is just that you need to execute them
and
Whether you in line in God's purpose.

So give to Jesus Christ and He will take care of you.
He has given to us everything.

The ultimate give He gave us.
is
LOVE.

Into the Fighting Hippo

Hi,

Today was timely good. Manage to finish all homework. And had a good night sleep too. All smiles =) Today in church was good too. They didn't have preaching today instead they got a solo singer and a pastor too to do worship and half-sermon-half-singing which was good. Really awesome.

After the service, i went to get dinner then came back home, did my laundry and now ready to sleep. It has i think been a great weekend, got my rest, and finish off my homework and even manage to jam in some studying. Good Joel. =)

Now i'm ready to sleep and till then nighty night.

Hipposaurs,
We all wear masks, not a physical mask.
we wear mask to hide our character and attitude to others.
Is not good to have mask because you ae being two face.
and
Christians are not suppose not wearing mask.
We are to be real to people and yourself.

Because God has set us free from our flesh(sin) and now spiritual connected to God.
We are to live like Him.

That means not having masks.

So live more more to become like Christ.

Story that Can't be Resisted.

Hello,

Today was waking. Today i was interrupted by my RA(leader of our dorm) cause it is a Saturday and on Saturday we do something every time. So today we are going to watch the movies. I had to get ready quickly.

The movie we watch is Bedtime Stories. It was alright and something different. Later, we went to the north campus to eat some food.

After all that, i went to find a place to cut my hair cause it was super super super long. And i cannot take it. I went to the place, where for a hair cut is 13 dollars which is cheap cause i ask so many places and it was like 15-20 dollars. Having a hair cut here is so different than cutting in Malaysia. Like i say cut short. They say cut short where and how short. And it was hard to explain how i wanted it. But I'm glad that the person did a good cut after a 15 minute long discussion on how to cut my hair.

Then i come home and sleep again. Now I'm a wake and doing some homework. Now watching SNL. Going to continue to do homework and then of to sleep. Must get ready for church tomorrow. So till then nighty night.

Hard,
Time is always against us

That is why we got to do as much as possible as we can for Jesus Christ.
We do not know when He is coming again and is dangerous
If we are not living as Christians.

Because that is when we are going to stand before Him and the book of life is open.
Why be afraid went it is true.

We like a true Christian
everyday turn to His image more and more.

Do your part because Jesus Christ did His part by
Dieing on the cross for all mankind sin
and
He given us Justification
Now we are Sanctify

So we live for Christ.
Think that Jesus can come anytime and any day.

Knife Up Some Butter

Hey,

Today is great as same as other days. Classes as usual. And all gone smoothly. So big smiles =) After classes, i finish up my homework and then eat dinner. Later all that i went to the gym to do some hard tough workout. It was good workout. I make sure that i feel the pain. Not cramps but just slight pain to the muscles so that it can grow stronger. =)

After gym session, i went to see the girls basketball training. They won the Big South tournament and now are in the NCAA. They were the winners last year too. So they are hoping to repeat it again. Our guys, well they didn't do so well. They finish 3rd in the Big South but didn't do well in NCAA.

So i went to see the girls in training. Man it is tough. The drills and everything. They are determine to win which is good. So hang out there for a while and then i come home to finally rest my head on good nice comfortable bed. =) till then nighty night.

Scoop,
Did you know that passing the baton is not easy to be done and it is critical.
I can remember the time i was in school and in the school team and also in the 4x100 m. And the hard part about 4x100 m was the passing of the baton.

I had to train for it like a zillion time. It was really critical to get it right and fast.

Cause if done wrong, will get a disqualification and it can be a huge embarrassment to the team and the school name

Well, this is like same in the Christian. You see Jesus Christ is waiting to pass us the baton for us to finish the race.

See it now boils down to our purpose.
What is your purpose.

Is not education
is not a job career
is not getting a girl/boy friend
Is not what you think in your head

It is the purpose that God has set for you.
Do you know.
That is when you do some soul searching and really ask God that this is His purpose for you to do.

We are set out to do God's work. it can to the world or in the ministry.
You see you can plan your future but it ends faster than you thought.

Can you tell me where is God in it in your education, job, family and so on that you plan out.

Cause believe it or not that once our leaders are ready to do new work and there are the ones that is waiting to pass the baton to someone. Are you ready to answer that call.

if you complaint you miss baton, idols you miss the baton, and sexual immorality you miss the baton.

You got to know your God's purpose that He set for you. Because you don't know, you in the future will be wondering to yourself, why did you do this and that. Then you hit your head and cry to yourself because you miss the mark.

Believe me that you have miss God's purpose in your life, if you think wrongly.

So pray to God, make sure that it is His calling for you to do that and work towards that.

2 Peter 3:18
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

Creative Layout From Distant

Hi,

Today was some what good. Usual. Just a little hiccup in the morning. There was one class that i forgot to bring something important. So i had to ask my friends for car to a ride back home. If i take the bus it will be late. Thank God that God send a friend that is willing to bring me home and back. Great and even i wasn't late to class.

So my day was some what saved by my friend that God send. Thank you God.

Besides that pretty much my day is the same as other days. Oh today at convocation the worship and sermon was really good especially the sermon. The pastor came to this school for the first time. And man, he preach a powerful sermon that it cut deep down everyone, hard, how i know. Cause it was see-able in their faces.

Citing 1 Corinthians 10, preacher told everyone to stay away from three major areas: idolatry, sexual immorality and complaining.

He read Ezekiel 14:2-3, which says, “Then the word of the Lord came to me: ‘Son of man, these men have set up idols in their hearts and put wicked stumbling blocks before their faces. Should I let them inquire of me at all?’”

He said Christians should be constantly asking themselves if they are truly pursuing the will of God or if they are being distracted by idols that come in and out of their lives.

“If you don’t at some point lay down that idol, sadly that idol is what you get,” preacher said.

He then talked about the story of Lot in the Bible and how God destroyed the city of Sodom because of sexual immorality.

“The minute you grab hold of that sexual immorality — the next time you see the vision and burden of God, you’re going to say to yourself, ‘I can’t do that. I’m undone. I’m guilty,’” he said.

In the area of complaining, preacher said this can lead Christians to have a negative attitude on life.

“[God’s call] doesn’t belong in the hands of a whiner; this belongs in the hands of a champion who knows who they are in God and that in His perfect timing all things work together for good,” he said.

Preacher closed by saying he is part of a generation seeking young Christians to take over what they have started. He encouraged students to develop strong friendships and relationships that encourage them to take up the vision and call of God’s will on their lives.

“Someone needs to take this truth to the next generation,” he said.

It was really good stuff right. If you guys was there sitting there and listening to it. You just be wow by what he says. Amazing.

Anyway, i got to sleep. Long day. So till then nighty night.

Thumb Up,
Did you know that the human mind is really powerful.
Yes, it is. It can absorb a whole lot of information very quickly if you know how to use it.

God gave us this brain and the thinking power to have emotions, morals, values, and so on.
We are the only thing that is different from animals.

God wants us to use it for His Kingdom. Use it
Think positive, allow good thoughts, have also the right attitudes.
And you will be able to do anything because the human mind is really powerful.

We can move mountains.
want good results. Use your mind.
God made it for a purpose for you to think.

So use it

Barn
Did you know that everyone has their own liking of music.
Music are in the hearts of everyone.
And somehow it has a connection into people.

Our God loves music. And He loves music that is about Him.
in the Old Testament, worship was 24/7 non-stop.

I don't know that genre you like from rap to rock to jazz.
You can use our style/genre to worship God.

Make our own lyrics to God. Everyone of us can write songs. Just maybe some of us have no melody.
But God doesn't care about that.
He cares about the worship song that comes from your Heart.

Even you write your own song, give it to the musicians, they can solve it to make it, music.

try it just worship God with your own lyrics.
Give God all the worship, He deserve it all.

Don't know how to start, maybe sing some songs that is played in church then slowly build our own song.

Let you worship give you new inside to God's world.

Sleep Wars...

Hi,

Today is the most tiring day for me. Because i couldn't sleep at all the whole of night. Maybe i was excited of school starting tomorrow. Just couldn't get at sleep done.

So the whole day i was like zombie like around school. People straight away know that i was super sleepy. Except during my first two classes cause my body was running on adrenaline, so i was a bit awake and my first two classes are sports, so it got my body going but inside i was burn of desire to sleep.

I feel so bad. Anyway, classes are bit slow also. Thank God that i manage a little to learn today. =(
Tomorrow i'll be more awake and active. And ready to learn.

That is for today, so till then nighty night.

Burn,
Did you know that a safety net is the only solution into saving you from a fierily building.
It is the same with God's grace.

God's grace is a marvelous give from God. It is the only thing that is keeping us away from God's wrath on us.

Because no one and really no one is suppose to go to heaven at all. We all deserve to die in hell.

That is when Jesus Christ comes in. He save us from this wrath and given us hope again by dieing on the cross for all sin. And letting God see us as righteous before Him.
If you believe in Jesus Christ you are save from this.

And Grace is for all Christians. Grace is something for us to realize that we have sin and must repent for it. It is not something for us to keep on sinning.

Grace is a rebounder.

It is to help you up again and to tell you that you need to let go of that dirty little secret sin of yours right now.

So don't thing that you can keep on sinning, No, is wrong. God told us not to anyway.

God cannot take sin.
sin is worse that rubbish
God cannot allow sin in His World.

So if you sin and you realize that you sin. that is Grace.

Imagine that you are walking on the narrow road and you slip and fall. And you fall but there is a safety net there, ready to catch you and then you continue to go back up on that narrow road.

That is Grace.

If you fall again and keep on falling, is like you deliberately wanting to fall over and over. That is sinning.

Just remember that you want to be more Christ-like everyday. Christ didn't sin at all. So why should you sin?

Don't sin, it can hurt you.
If you realize it, repent for it, and forget about it

That is Grace.

Kingdom Perspective

Yo,

Today is great. People are back from their spring break. Now there is live again in the dorms. People talking outside, people running here and there, and cars driving in and out. Sweet sound.

Woke early to do some easy studying to get back in track for school tomorrow. I can't wait for school tomorrow. To see people and people and people. It will be happening.

Anyway, today in church is good too. I'm liking this church a lot but it can't compare to back home. Well is a new experience to me. Besides that the word was really good. It gave me a new look at God. We Christians need to have a Kingdom Perspective. In Matthew 6:33, it says that.

The points are...
1. look at life with eternity in view.(Col 3:2, Phil 3:20)
  • it affects our value system
  • it affects how we invest our lives
  • it affects our attitudes
2. look at life with spiritual perspective(Matt 10:16)
  • we are spiritual beings(1 Cor 15:44)
  • We are in a spiritual struggle(Eph 6:12)
  • We need spiritual discernment(Prov 2:10-11)
3. look at life from a biblical worldview. Kingdom truth: God is Creator of all things(Col1:16-17)
  • we let the Word of God guide us(Ps 119:105)
  • let the principles of God shape us(Rom12:2)
  • let the precepts of God protect us(Prov 2:6,8)

Great huh? So we got to see that now. So that is about my day. Going to sleep early because school start early. =) till then nighty night

Pogo,

Such a Powerful Chapter

Romans 8

Life Through the Spirit
1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,a]">[a] 2because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. 3For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature,b]">[b] God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering.c]">[c] And so he condemned sin in sinful man,d]">[d] 4in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.

5Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6The mind of sinful mane]">[e] is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; 7the sinful mindf]">[f] is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. 8Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

9You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 10But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. 11And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

12Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. 13For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, 14because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship.g]">[g] And by him we cry, "Abba,h]">[h] Father." 16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. 17Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Future Glory
18I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. 20For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21thati]">[i] the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

22We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? 25But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.

More Than Conquerors
28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,j]">[j] whok]">[k] have been called according to his purpose. 29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."l]">[l] 37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,m]">[m] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This chapter in Romans, is such a blessing to all Christians. It helps a lot. Read it

Did you know that the best diamond are the ones that shine the most and have good 'cuts'
It takes a skilled craftsman to cut a diamond into its ideal shape. Their goal is to maximize brilliance and sparkle. All those edges on a diamond are created through scientific formulas, and the more experienced the craftsman, the better the result. A diamond that is cut too deep or too shallow will fail to shine as brightly and may appear dull.

God is the ultimate craftsman.
And we are his diamond.
Constantly shaping us to be the prefect diamond.
So cuts are deep, so are shallow.

If you are a true-believing Christian, you would accept change all the time to become the prefect diamond.
You are willing to push on to the good times and bad times.
Wanting your character to be prefect for Christ.

And every prefect diamond has a unique shine to them.
That shine is your appearance, how do you want to appear to your friends/family/strangers.
This appearance is your attitude, character and talents.

And God is crafting you to be prefect in all areas in your life.
We are to appear the prefect examples to your friends even to strangers and yes, also family.

So don't destroy yourself because it's hard or whatever.
fight it through, the results are coming.

Reunited Skittles Addiction

Hey,

Today was pretty alright, all smooth and ready for school in like another after tomorrow. Tomorrow is Sunday, blessed day. Back today, didn't do much, study and finish up my homework. and also now watching a bit of television. Television here is somehow more worse and good at the same time. First the good, well they show when it is suppose to be release unlike Malaysia where you have to download it. That is the only good thing about American tv.

Now the bad, there is so much advertisement show on tv than the actual show showing. Is crazy, and mostly is all weight lose ads, protein shakes ads, and product ads, and the most is law ads(law company wanting to help you in your tax, suing and whatever). Crazy. And there is so much cable networks here unlike Malaysia where there is only Astro. The really bad thing is that i cannot find the tv listing in my room because to many cable networks here. Is really crazy.

Thank God i manage to find the channels that i watch: cbs, cw, abc, cnbc, fox, and espn. Oh i found out that my school has it's own tv channel. It is called Liberty Channel and even a radio channel. Amazing. The Liberty Channel show what the school is doing, show sermons, and games. Same with the radio.

that is pretty much my day. So till then nighty night.

Zealous,
if you watch basketball, you have know about this trash talking from ron artest and kobe

this is a funny one.
the universe is just breath-taking.
Isn't it amazing what God does.
Have you wonder why does God cares about us, we are so small and nothing to him.
Yet he cares and love.

He cares so much that He send His only Son to die for our sins. So that we may be with Him again in eternal life.

So best thing to do is to obey him and put our faith in Him.

When the Clock Ticks Left...

Hi,

Today is Friday the 13th. I can't believe that people would be so superstitious on a day that would bring bad luck to them. For me i don't believe in this luck thing. Mostly is fluke. For example making basketball shots is either you have practice for a every long time or that day you manage to put in shots cause maybe your shooting stands is correct(so makes it fluke).

Bad luck comes cause you make the wrong choices. And it so happen that day you made a lot of wrong choices. So the best way to do things is to think first and plan out your moves.

Anyway, about my day it seems pretty alright. My roommate came back after long holiday at New York. He went there to see his uncle or something. Did i talk about my roommate before. i think i have. He is Chinese from China, and a super loud person(cannot take him already) and eats a lot of noodles. Only one good thing about him is that he is nice.

So he came back in the wee wee hours in the morning which scare the hack out of me. i thought i was being rob. I thank God that i lock the door. So i went him in. Another thing about him is that he is super loud and he is really loud. He was unpacking his stuff. Man and i want to sleep and you are doing that, you are really asking for trouble here. But you guys knowing me, i won't hurt a person, so i just turn and turn in my sleep till he stop unpacking and showering and everything that is related to noise.

Didn't wake up till 430pm which is 430am in Malaysia. Went out with my friends for dinner and came back to play xbox 360.

Now in my room, studying little and finishing up some homework. Thank God that spring break is over. Cause i want to study and workout. Yea, during spring break the school was like a dead place. It was flopping empty, no one, scary. So everything was close, even the school gym which sucks a lot. So i had to workout in the room.

Missing school now. School is going to start on Monday. Yea. Get to see people and friends and people and friends and people and friends.

I guess I'm done here. Alright now to say nighty night.

clocks tick right,
Did you know the most healthiest trees are their roots, growing deep down the ground.
You see that a strong tree comes from it's roots. If it grows deeper in the ground, it cause the tree to have a strong foundation. Another thing is that is always hungry for food.

So we must be like a tree. Always hungry for the Word of God. Always wanting to know the inside and outside of the Word of God. And you live according to the Word of God and obey, trust, faith in God.

There will be no way to break you.

If you follow God. You are not afraid for change. Cause God will cut the branches for you to grow taller.

Build your foundation on the Word of God. Is important and good for you and me.

Just do it.

God loves you.

Friday 13ths

If Friday the 13th is unlucky, then 2009 is an unusually unlucky year. This week's Friday the 13th is one of three to endure this year.

The first came last month. The next is in November. Such a rare triple-threat occurs only once every 11 years.

The origin of the link between bad luck and Friday the 13th is murky. The whole thing might date to Biblical times (the 13th guest at the Last Supper betrayed Jesus). By the Middle Ages, both Friday and 13 were considered bearers of bad fortune. In modern times, the superstition permeates society.

Here are five of our favorite Friday-the-13th facts:

1. Fear of Friday the 13th - one of the most popular myths in science - is called paraskavedekatriaphobia as well as friggatriskaidekaphobia. Triskaidekaphobia is fear of the number 13.

2. Many hospitals have no room 13, while some tall buildings skip the 13th floor and some airline terminals omit Gate 13.

3. President Franklin D. Roosevelt would not travel on the 13th day of any month and would never host 13 guests at a meal. Napoleon and President Herbert Hoover were also triskaidekaphobic, with an abnormal fear of the number 13.

4. Mark Twain once was the 13th guest at a dinner party. A friend warned him not to go. "It was bad luck," Twain later told the friend. "They only had food for 12." Superstitious diners in Paris can hire a quatorzieme, or professional 14th guest.

5. The number 13 suffers from its position after 12, according to numerologists who consider the latter to be a complete number - 12 months in a year, 12 signs of the zodiac, 12 gods of Olympus, 12 labors of Hercules, 12 tribes of Israel, 12 apostles of Jesus, 12 days of Christmas and 12 eggs in a dozen.

interesting, but we Christians should not be trouble by this day or whatever supertitious days. Cause Jesus Christ is God, what there to fear, when we have God by our side.

Back Sit Party Going...

Hey,

Today woke up super late. Around 3pm here which is like 3am in Malaysia. Then i went to buy diner. Enjoy my meal and watch some television.

After all that fun, i quiet down to my little table to do some major homework. Nah! is not much. Is a matter of just sitting down still and focus on the work for just 2 hours. And Yes, i manage to get it done. =)

Later i went to my friends room and party with his xbox 360. YEA!!! Had fun and enjoy myself. Great fun. Don't worry, i won't get xbox 360 is a bit a waste of my money. Is nice to get and it is a want and not a need. So i don't need it. =) Maybe in the future. Now is focus on Study and get it done.

Okay, my walk with God. Is ever great and good. Praying for my family, you guys, and the church has been so much power going through and somehow is building my faith. Reading the Word is good too. I'm still believing that someone or i get the money somehow. Well i need like 21,000 each year. I know is a lot. i know. No one has cheat me on my money or anything. i just believe would bless me somehow to further my studies here.

So do continue to pray for me and everything.

Till then nighty night.

Pass,

Crazy shot
Isn't it amazing how a seed grows. Not having a lot water or sun, it still can grow to a some sought a healthy plant.

We Christians(true-believing Christians) we are to preach/tell/speak to people about it. Live a proper life like a role-model to others. I know is hard to tell your friends about it. You see if you live like a Christian, people around you will notice. And once they notice is a sight of a seed ready to be plant. And if you tell them about it is a seed planted.

Don't worry about feeding the plant or giving it the sun to grow. That is God's part. You just need to plants seeds.

So go out and the light to others and be ready to plant seeds.

We all need to kill the enemy with one shot. That is why we need to have scope.
Because if the enemy sees you, it will be hard to survive through it.

So knowing your Word of God(the Bible) are bullets. But using the Word wisely is like scoping and then shoot.

So keep the scriptures close to your heart and use them wisely against the enemy and helping your friends/allies.

Sick Day Light Saving

Hey,

No thanks to day light saving, i get less sleep today but it didn't make any different cause it is a holiday. Today didn't really do much. Just study and then the internet is down. So i couldn't post. So this is a late post.

That is all i got to post. Till then nighty night.

Oh day light saving is like the clock will move one hour ahead or backward. For example the time is 6pm but it is actually 5pm. But it only cause one day. This happens twice a year i think. Once in March and October.

Shocking News

More Americans say they have no religion

A wide-ranging study on American religious life found that the Roman Catholic population has been shifting out o of the Northeast to the Southwest, the percentage of Christians in the nation has declined and more people say they have no religion at all.

Fifteen percent of respondents said they had no religion, an increase from 14.2 percent in 2001 and 8.2 percent in 1990, according to the American Religious Identification Survey.

Northern New England surpassed the Pacific Northwest as the least religious region, with Vermont reporting the highest share of those claiming no religion, at 34 percent. Still, the study found that the numbers of Americans with no religion rose in every state.

"No other religious bloc has kept such a pace in every state," the study's authors said.

In the Northeast, self-identified Catholics made up 36 percent of adults last year, down from 43 percent in 1990. At the same time, however, Catholics grew to about one-third of the adult population in California and Texas, and one-quarter of Floridians, largely due to Latino immigration, according to the research.

Nationally, Catholics remain the largest religious group, with 57 million people saying they belong to the church. The tradition gained 11 million followers since 1990, but its share of the population fell by about a percentage point to 25 percent.

Christians who aren't Catholic also are a declining segment of the country.

In 2008, Christians comprised 76 percent of U.S. adults, compared to about 77 percent in 2001 and about 86 percent in 1990. Researchers said the dwindling ranks of mainline Protestants, including Methodists, Lutherans and Episcopalians, largely explains the shift. Over the last seven years, mainline Protestants dropped from just over 17 percent to 12.9 percent of the population.

The report from The Program on Public Values at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., surveyed 54,461 adults in English or Spanish from February through November of last year. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 0.5 percentage points. The findings are part of a series of studies on American religion by the program that will later look more closely at reasons behind the trends.

The current survey, being released Monday, found traditional organized religion playing less of a role in many lives. Thirty percent of married couples did not have a religious wedding ceremony and 27 percent of respondents said they did not want a religious funeral.

About 12 percent of Americans believe in a higher power but not the personal God at the core of monotheistic faiths. And, since 1990, a slightly greater share of respondents — 1.2 percent — said they were part of new religious movements, including Scientology, Wicca and Santeria.

The study also found signs of a growing influence of churches that either don't belong to a denomination or play down their membership in a religious group.

Respondents who called themselves "non-denominational Christian" grew from 0.1 percent in 1990 to 3.5 percent last year. Congregations that most often use the term are megachurches considered "seeker sensitive." They use rock style music and less structured prayer to attract people who don't usually attend church. Researchers also found a small increase in those who prefer being called evangelical or born-again, rather than claim membership in a denomination.

Evangelical or born-again Americans make up 34 percent of all American adults and 45 percent of all Christians and Catholics, the study found. Researchers found that 18 percent of Catholics consider themselves born-again or evangelical, and nearly 39 percent of mainline Protestants prefer those labels. Many mainline Protestant groups are riven by conflict over how they should interpret what the Bible says about gay relationships, salvation and other issues.

The percentage of Pentecostals remained mostly steady since 1990 at 3.5 percent, a surprising finding considering the dramatic spread of the tradition worldwide. Pentecostals are known for a spirited form of Christianity that includes speaking in tongues and a belief in modern-day miracles.

Mormon numbers also held steady over the period at 1.4 percent of the population, while the number of Jews who described themselves as religiously observant continued to drop, from 1.8 percent in 1990 to 1.2 percent, or 2.7 million people, last year. Researchers plan a broader survey on people who consider themselves culturally Jewish but aren't religious.

The study found that the percentage of Americans who identified themselves as Muslim grew to 0.6 percent of the population, while growth in Eastern religions such as Buddhism slightly slowed.

We true-believing-Christians should pray for England and America. These two countries use to have a strong believe in Christianity. See what the evil one is doing. So pray for these countries, also for others too.

Pray hard, Pray to win this war.
