All The Big Small Things.

Hi,

Woke up very early today for no reason. I just wake up. Like i have a whole lot of energy in me. Anyway, today was going to be another busy day cause today is freshmen seminar. Which kinda exciting and annoying at the same time.

So i went there super early, cause i wanted to be sure that i got this and that and whatever i need to do. So went to school, to the international office to hang out and ask a lot of questions too. Manage to check so email here and there, work a little.

Went to lunch, now the dining place is starting to fill up with American and internationals student. Is quite pack with people. And seeing a lot of blonds and brunette and red heads and blacks everywhere, is so exciting. So now i have to make friends with these people and hopefully make friends with girls. =)

The seminar was in the afternoon after lunch. So i went there and it was boring and at the same time quite some bits interesting too. And have to do some things too pass this seminar. Because if i don't pass this seminar, i won't be able to finish school here. Every one has to do this. Then went to another seminar on using the library and the computer labs. Is quite cool.

Then dinner then basketball. Tomorrow same thing and another busy day too. So till then. Hmm... i think i haven't taken a picture of a the computer lab right and other places too. So hope to load them up when i take the pictures. Okay now, nighty night

Hi,

Today was a great day, got a lot of things i did and had a lot of fun. Today was the last day for my check-ins. Cause next week all everyone is back and classes start next week too. So i have a lot of things to get done. Get done everything. Thank God that it went smoothly and easy.

After that i went around campus, there was a tour around. So here are some pictures of the places i went to day...
This is the bookstore in campus. They sell junk food, clothing line, and books. All my textbooks or workbooks come from here, and i get it online and all the my books comes in a box and they will let me know went my books are ready for me to get. =)
This is the book counter where you can ask anything. Another good things is that i can buy original windows xp or vista or other programs for very cheap. For windows xp i can it for
20 Dollars.

So next place we went is the Vines center which is the basketball stadium. Is in campus. So check it out...
This is it. Awesome right. Like a NBA stadium. It can fit more than 30 thousand people.
Close up.
Forgot to tell you this. I'm playing the correct height here, cause i can't really touch the ring but i can touch the bottom of the board. So the one in tp is short and the other courts that i played on.
The clock.
This is where the commenter sit to comment on the game.

Next we went to the see the high class campus residences area. And is really great. Didn't have pictures for this.

Next we went to the see the museum of the founder of this school Jerry Falwell. Info on him, click here. So then here is the pictures...
This is Him, Jerry Falwell, He founded at 1971. So this school is considered very young school compare to other schools.
This is on the floor, where the picture of Jerry Falwell is. That is our logo. It says at the sides "Liberty University" and "Knowledge and Aflame"
At the same place, This is the Museum of him. Check it out...
Don't ask me about the History about him. I didn't really listen. Just click at the link on top that types out "click here"
Some from the same room
This is the Alumni room, here is all the school history. Really cool stuff.
This is the last picture. But this picture is really meaningful. Can't read it? it says "Nothing of eternal significance has ever been uncomplished apart from prayer" Dr Jerry Falwell.

Is sad that i couldn't get to meet him. Is he already past away. But just seeing and hearding and reading about his history. Is just touching and motivating. He is truly a great guy. Now is son has taken over the school. So that cool.

Later i went to eat dinner then went to the sports student center called, Tilley Student Center to play basketball. And is great. I have doing it for the pass few nights already. Loving it. So till then, tomorrow for me, I'll be very busy with other stuff. So nighty night

Edit Work...

Hi,

Today is another busy day. I have to say that Liberty University has really taken good care of me and really feeding me well and also is free. Today was test day. Yea, a test. This test is to place us in the class rank. From top class to low class. Well, is English and Math class. I did pretty alright, i pass all. All this done in the morning. Americans are early people. I think nearly 90% of the people here wake up like 6am, The morning sun haven't really up yet and the Americans are up already. Crazy. i thought that are the type of people that would wake up late. I think it is a good thing for me. They are my alarm clock for the morning. hehe

Anyway, i finish my test in the morning. Then it was housing day. So i was excited to get my new room and not stay in this room that I'm living now. In the housing office, i was in the cross roads, i couldn't decide. Because i kinda made so many friends where I'm staying now but at the same time i want to live in another apartment. No decision really frustrate me a lot. Thank God, that he provided me with a person, who work in Housing, to help me out. He told me that i can check out the places that i want to stay and get back to him by the end of the day. So i went around. I found that where I'm staying now is much better. Cause all the rooms are those double bed. So is kinda sucky. So i choose to stay back in the same place. And i save more money. hehe.

So i went back to the Housing Office and told them i don't want the to stay here. They were fine with it. So i done with that. Sorry i couldn't get my camera to work today, maybe that i forgot to charge, sorry guys, another time. =) Anyway, i went to eat at the restaurants in the school. Well the food isn't that bad but the design wise is kinda cool. I took some pictures of this earlier before my camera batt die. So here they are...
At the end there is the entrance. Here is the dining place. Cool huh?
More chairs and table. at the sides are the mini shops to get food. Is all free for the whole day. Of course i paid for the meal already in my fee. but i get to eat the whole day. =)
This is the drinks. They got coke and other soft drinks and milk and juice and water and a lot of drinks.
This is some of the food stores i went. They have everything from European to Chinese to Indian food. I ate pasta. And this store is the pasta store. The food is not bad, tasty.

One last picture. And this last picture is the coolest thing in this restaurant. It is their cleaning "thing"
"TADA!!!!"
It rotates all the time. i just have to put in the plate and whatever. The other side there are people wash the dish and so on. But this thing keeps on rotating like every second or so.

After that i went to watch a movie. Yeap a movie. It only cost one dollar. But the shows are not that new movies. There are those before they come out as dvds. So like HSM3, Eagle Eye, Max Payne and so on.
Here is some prove, I check out the other cinemas in the mall here. It cause the same price as in Malaysia. 10 DOLLARS!!!
So i just have to wait for a few weeks to watch a the latest movie for just 1 DOLLAR!!!.

I will take a picture of the one dollar cinema so other time. Is a great place. That is all in my day. Tomorrow i will be quite free. I'll be doing some stuff then. Till the nighty night

Oh i forgot to add that the dining mall has also ice-cream and cereal and salad-bar and sushi bar, quite a lot of different food. =)

Fast Trackers Cracker

Hi,

Today i was very very busy at school. Woke up in the morning at 610am to get ready for the international student orientation. And it was truly a long day. Catch the bus to the school. And the bus was full of international students and yes of course i made friends. Made friend, and his name is Prince, he was from Ghana.

Today we all went to the international office to do our check in. So we had to do our bank in and create this and that. So was long. So now i'm a Liberty University student. Then we had to go for a seminar on America culture. Is interesting and great to know. But i guess is a bit crazy cause is like almost making us feel that we should be apart of their culture. Anyway, everything is cool.

That was whole morning till afternoon. And at afternoon is was our banking. And i nearly choose Bank of America. Not that i don't like Bank of , just that the school is more connected to another, which is BB&T. Is quite a small bank but they seem quite okay.

I came back. Haven't got my real room yet. So hoping to see my room tomorrow and work things out. So Now I'm going to sleep. Tomorrow is another big day for me to do some more stuff in school again. Excited. Till then nighty night

Culture Exchange Laughs.

Hi,

Today i went out to discover my little city of Lynchburg. Man is huge. I didn't take pictures cause i forgot my camera again. Anyway, is simply huge. And everything here, is like 1 floor only from supermarket to shopping malls.

So i woke up, eat breakfast and then went to the international office to make a phone call to my mom. So then i went to Walmart again with a friend. After that, we decided to check out this whole city by foot. Is okay with me cause I'm use to travel by foot. He was quite bush out, i guess must be the jet lag. So we went to the mall. The mall here sucks compare to Malaysia malls. The mall here, there arehardly anyone. I think i can count the number of people in the mall. The mall here also, there is only one floor. No second floor, no basement, 1 floor. Crazy.

After that, we plan to take a different route back to the home. But we lost our way. Thank God that in my bag, i have a map. So we manage to find our way back to the school. Hang out in the school gym again. Played with their PS3. Then i went back home but the other stay there awhile.

Today night, there is a special dinner for us international students. The school head came to bless us with dinner and tell us what to do on orientation day. The dinner is simply nice and tasty. Made even more friends from around the world. From England to Congo and etc. So fast all of us become close friends. Like we know each other so well. God is good. And the school stuff brought other people too. Some of the poeple i meet, know my dad. Such a small world we live in. So daddy, you come here too. So this party is to get to know each other and tell us what to do.

Tonight i might sleep early. So i can wake up to a bright morning. Oh i forgot. I took some pictures of the room I'm sleep now. Here they are...
there is nothing much in the room. No TV, no bedsheets, no pillows. Well is better then nothing.

Anyway, i'll be leaving this room soon. I'll be leaving in campus. Where is much better. So till then nighty night.

In Plain View

Hi,

Today is such a fun day. I didn't have to do much at all. Wake up late, eat heavy lunch and hang out. Today as i was eating my free breakfast(past few days i have been doing that). A guy walk in and start talking to us about the school and his home and who he is. He is the Dean for international students. Yea, they was a bunch of us people, all internationals eating breakfast together. So non-of-us volunteer to help him.

Anyway, so of the international wanted to go to the international student office today. So we went. They are the few friends that i said earlier in the post. So we head down, went to the office. But the people working there say that their server is down, so they can't do much work. Anyway, i didn't have anything to do. I follow one of the senior fellows to play ping pong there. So this dude, his name is Quintus(he is from South African). So he show me around the school and told me some many things. One thing i can remember is that one of the school building is built as the same dimensions as Noah's Ark. Yes, Noah's Ark. As i saw the building, it was huge and big, no wonder all the animals can fit inside the Ark. Will load up pictures.

So he show me the gym(he say is the one of the biggest in the America). Anyway, he show me this new building that the school brought over from Sony Ericsson. And it was a huge playground. They have a hair salon, bookstore, indoor track(running track) and field. Indoor swimming pools(three), 5 indoor basketball courts(dreaming already), 2 futsal courts, another gym, several ping pong and a lot of snooker or pool tables. The best part is that they provide PS3 or Xbox for you to play. And is all the latest games too. The very best part all the over is free for all Liberty students to use. Pictures are below...
Ping Pong and snooker and pool
the TV screens there are for us to play PS3s or Xboxs
more pool/snooker and leisure
This place is the lounge, where you drink coffee and whatever(the LU students say that the coffee here is better that Starbucks)
Sorry couldn't take a good picture. Here is the 5 indoor basketball court, the other end is the gym and inside here again is two futsal court.
Here is a better picture of the basketball courts. Awesome right. Yea i got to play here. The feeling is different.

Besides that, i want to show you something even more cool. This school has a whole mountain stretch belong to them and over the other side, the land still belongs to them. They haven't even finish using up the land they have. My friend told me that they are using only 10% of their land there. Anyway, showing you the mountain...
the big circle up there, shows LU means Liberty University. Couldn't take the whole mountain cause is just to long.
There you go.
Okay, guys hope you can see this. This part of the mountain, the top doesn't have trees, why? This is cool. Can you see the red color line on the top of the mountain? if you can see, you have good eyes. Is there la. Anyway, the school is building something there. That something so happens to be a artificial skiing slope. Means you can ski all day long, no need snow. Those trees will be cut down soon when it is done. But this skiing slope is said to be the first in America, and Discovery Channel is going to document this and show it on TV. It is said that this slope will be friendly to the environment too. Cool right?

Coming to think of it. I think the school owns this town. There are like almost buying every land in Lynchburg. Hopefully they might buy over Virginia. haha. This school is just simply amazing. They are truly doing so much for God. And really producing real man and women of God.
Same picture. The LU sign is on the left and the slope is on the right.

Oh today also i get to play basketball with a bunch of Americas. Well i feel quite lousy in the game. Cause they are playing in a different level. Well for me, i have to train even hard and become better. Man, the America people were flying here and there. Dunking and doing crazy moves. If i continue to play with them. Eventually i will get better and start playing their level. The best part was that they say that i was not bad. They say i understand the game quite well, know how to move and all. So that just gave me a fuzzy feeling in my heart. Which is encouragement to do better. =)

That is my day, oh i went out to eat with my friends. Yea, i made friends already. To this place, is better than McD, KFC, BK, and other burger stores. The food is cheap and is big and super tasty. YUMMY. The meal there is about 3 something and i get even more cheap with student ID. YEA!!! awesome.

Anyway, I'm super tried now. Going to bed soon. Got church tomorrow morning. So nighty night

Tomorrow will come,

Insert Encouragement Here

Hi,

In a different world, with just myself is hard to live. No one around me to comfort, to care, to love, and to help. Only one person which God. But is hard too cause God is not physical. Is already the 2nd day here in America for me. All alone. No one hears my cry. Alone. But this is what i choose. No turning back. I can't. Unless the church is willing to support me in what i used to do in church last time.

Day 2 here, missing a lot back home already. Wishing for this and that. Thinking of this and that. But life goes on. If i collect enough miles on my frequent flyer and money than likely i can come back every 6 mouths or more.

Now I'm just looking forward to this end of the year. Want to get all this my studies done fast. 4 years seems to long already. I guess all beginnings are like this. I have to fight through this war. So help me through this. God help me. Bring me someone that can support me all the way. Bring me a study partner to guide me through my study course. Help me, Lord. You are my source, my hope, my strength, my Father, help me, Lord. Please. I want to finish fast, finish well, finish strong, finish with a degree in hand. Help me, Lord. Please.

Study mode on,

New Year, Different World

Hey,

Now I'm trying to settle down in Lynchburg, Virginia. Is still cold here. Not to sure about the temperature. Maybe is around 0-7 Celsius. Haven't really meet any Malaysian yet. Today i went to the international student office. Is quite cool, and is huge the room. The school is so big that they need to have a private public transportation. Is that just cool and is free. So i made some new friends, they are not from Malaysia. Made friends with two Brazilian girls, one Japanese girl, two Nepalis(one guy, one girl), and one South African.

I had nothing much to do cause all my documents are all already approve by them. So i just lazies around the international student office. Thank God that they allow me to call back home. So i tried calling my mom and dad, but couldn't get through. I thought to myself that this cannot be cause there is already 12am and my parents never off their phones. The problem is that the Japanses girl put in the worng password to allow me call overseas. Then i made the call and it work. Called my mom, she is now in Singapore. So i'll be calling them in the wee hours in the morning. Just made a simple call that I'm here and all.

Is hard for me to believe that I'm here already, in America, living my dream. Is a big WOW for me. Besides visiting the student office, i went with a few people i just met to Walmart to buy stuff. Walmart is so near by the school about 10 minutes walk. Went there to buy get stuff and stock myself with food for many days to come. There was a McD there. So i had lunch there. Seeing the price there, is ever more expensive that Malaysia. one filet-o-fish cost about 4.99 dollars. if you don't compare is cheap but you do is super expensive. Is like about 13 riggit for a meal. If i remember correctly is the price for the filet-o-fish is about 7 plus riggit, right?

Came back to my room. And just fall asleep. My body is still not adjust to this world yet. So going to sleep soon. So nighty night. Oh i'm tpying this in the morning which is your night time. hehe.

Another thing is that their internet wireless here, suck to the max. i keep on disconnected.

Eclipse,
